CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF …

Gerald E. Mulford (Br 1), husband of the late Leta VV Mulford, on Sept. 24, l998 in Hartwick, NY. They had been married for 59 years. Gerald is survived by two children, Marion Pogue (a Charter Member of NAVVF) and Marvin Mulford, both of Hartwick. His oldest child, Myron, predeceased him at the age of 49. Survivors also include three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 7 great,great-grandchildren. Gerald is buried in Hartwick Cemetery, Hartwick, NY.

Paul H. Van Valkenburg (Br 7) died in East Guilford, NY, on Sept. 24, 1998. Born Aug. 8, 1934 in Stilesville, NY, he was the son of Benjamin and Viola Holmes VV. Paul worked with his brother Elwin VV at Fairbanks Pharmacy until his retirement in May 1995. Survivors include Paul's wife of 42 years, Jean Pratt VV; sons Timothy and Daniel daughter Amy Vance; brothers Elwin and James Francis; sister Mary Martin; and eight grandchildren. He is buried in East Guilford Cemetery, East Guilford, NY.

M. Patricia Van Valkenburg (Br 6) age 73, of Edina, MN, on November 1, 1999. Preceded in death by parents, William & Cleo Pharaoh. Survived by husband, James Van Valkenburg; daughter, Jane Van Valkenburg & husband David Psyhos of Edina and children; sons, James A. Van Valkenburg & wife Barbara of Arvada, CO and children, John P. Van Valkenburg & wife Tamara Gerten of Arden Hills and children, Paul T. Van Valkenburg & wife Kathleen R. of Garden City, NY and their children.

Adelaide Bush, (Br 1) 81, of South Gilboa Road, NY, died Sunday, August 8, at her residence. She was born May 20, 1918, in Spruceton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Van Valkenburgh. She was married to Paul Bush in September 1938. Paul died May 19, 1989.

Adelaide is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Doreen Bush of Windsor, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
