Florence Davis (Br 7) made a 23" x 28" wallhanging that was raffled off at the Indianapolis NAVVF Reunion. The fabrics used were ordered from Den haav & Wagenmakers of Amsterdam. They are reproductions of Dutch fabrics brought to Holland in the 17^th century by the Dutch East India Company and widely copied in Holland in the 18^th century. Our ancestress Annetje may have been familiar with fabrics like this.

The block pattern is called "Dutchman’s Puzzle" – seemed appropriate for a quilt made for genealogists researching a name like Van Valkenburgh.
