LUCILLE VV GOLDEN, of Raleigh, NC, died in her home on June 19, 1998. Lucille was a life member of NAVVF, Branch 4. Born August 13, 1913 in Warren, AR, she was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Lottie Blake VV, and her husband Charles Golden. She was a homemaker and a retired real estate agent in Tampa, FL, and Raleigh.

Lucille is survived by her brothers, Dale and Wayne; by her daughters, Gaye Lynne Gray and Sondra Golden Bass; and grandchildren, Tami Scharringhausen, Charles Wegner, Susan Bass and Lee Ann Bass.

RUTH ISABEL MERSEREAU, 99 (Br 7), died June 4, l998, in Holland, Ohio. Isabel was the widow of Harold E. Mersereau who died in April of 1963. Isabel attended the University of Toledo and graduated from Dennison University. She was a Deaconess Emeritus of First Baptist Church or Greater Toledo, former President of the Women's Organization and member of Hampton-DeVeaux Circle. She was also a member of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra Women's League, American Association of University Women, Palestine Chapter Order of Eastern Start, Samagama, Chi Omega Sorority, The National Association of the Van Valkenburg Family, and the Toledo Museum of Art. She is survived by her daughter Sarah A. Coley, son Charles G, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

LULA (MERSEREAU) EVANS (Br 7) of Sun City, AZ passed away 2/19/98 at age 90. She was Life Member #508, and was the widow of Life Member William C. Evans who died 6/9/97 at age 92. They had celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 30, 1997.

ADA T. JENKINS (Br 1) of Jewett, NY passed away December 2, l996 in Jewett, NY. She was born November 8, l904. She is buried in Maplewood Cemetery, South Jewett, NY. Information sent in by Janice Maben, HCl-Box 12, Jewett, NY l2444.

PAULINE A. VV CARL of Lake Hill, NY is also deceased according to Janice Maben, and she said to write to her daughter, Eleana Bartlett in Lake Hill, NY l2448 for the date and other information and I will do that. Pauline is not only a "senior" senior, but was a Charter Member.

ANNETTE J. VAN VALKENBURG (Br U) of Tampa, FL passed away April 27,1998 at the age of 61. She is survived by her husband, NAVVF member Edwin G. Van Valkenburg.

INEZ CONNELLY VAN VALKENBURGH of Memphis,. TN, died Sept 10, 1997. Wife of Dale B. Van Valkenburgh (Br 4) of Memphis, TN

FRANCES B. VAN VALKENBURGH (Br 1, Life Member #82) of Sterling, CO and Williamsville, NY, passed away 12/20/96 at the age of 96. Among others, she is survived by daughters Sally VV Haywood of Williamsville, NY and Margaret VV Moody of Montgomery, AL, both of whom are members of the NAVVF.

REMINGTON S. RADCLIFFE (Br U) of East Petersburg, PA. Member #1023. No other details known.

RICHARD VAN (Br U) passed away 3/20/97. He is survived by three sons, Joshua, Thomas and David; a brother, Tim; a sister, Tina, and his mother and stepfather, Judy and David Warnermuende of Manitowoc, WI.

RUTH VV REILLY (Br U) of Stamford, CT, Member #1186, passed away 11/30/97 just a few weeks short of her 97th birthday. Among others, she is survived by niece NAVVF member Helen L. VV Boissoneault of Agawam, MA.

WILLIAM ARTHUR VAN VALKENBURGH (Br U) Holly Hills, FL and Dearborn Heights, MI, passed away 12/22/97 after a lingering illness. Member #1360. Among others, he is survived by a son, Jack, of Dearborn Hills, MI.

SUE ANN (ALLEN) VAN VALKENBURG (Br U) of Tacoma, WA passed away 1/10/98 at age 56. She was born 9/22/41 in Tacoma, WA, daughter of Verl and Rita Allen. She married Paul Earl Van Valkenburg on 10/24/60. She is survived by her husband, and six children; Jayna Marie, Allen Todd, Julene Renea, Aaron Dean, JoNell (Nellie) and Nathan Kyle, all of Tacoma; as well as 9 grandchildren. Besides her church activities and family, she helped Asian refugees in their quest for freedom here in America

MARIE S. VAN VALKENBURG, 85, of Liverpool and Fayetteville, NY, died January 9, 1999. She was a life resident of the Syracuse area and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fayettevile. Her husband, Earl, and a son, Donald, died previously. She is survived by daughters Nancy Amie and Doris Valken-LaDuke, a son, David J., two sisters Ethel Bortel and Ruth DenHaese.
