"Lambert Van Valkenburg: His Life in the New World as Revealed in Court Documents and Other Primary Source Records From 1644-1664" researched and compiled by Lorine McGinnis Schulze Part One: 1644 to 1647 The following records found for Lambert Van Valkenburg indicate he was in New Amsterdam as early as January 1644. Since it is unlikely the ships sailed in the winter, he was probably in New Amsterdam in the summer or fall of 1643. These records indicate Lambert's activities from 1644 to 1664 and provide an interesting glimpse into Lambert's life over this twenty year period. 25 Jan. 1644: Declaration.
