Bio of Claude B. VV
Claude B. VV was born sep 24, 1912 in Holland, Erie Co, Ny. He was the son of
Mr and Mrs Wesley VV. His marriage to Miss Madeline Ecker of Clarendon took
place Oct 19, 1942.Claude entered military service Oct 21, 1942 serial # 32 473 219. From Ft
Niagara he went to Ft Mc Clellan Alabama and Ft Benning Ga. In June 1944 he
went overseas.Three months later private Claude VV was killed in action in France on sep 5
1944. He was 31 yrs of age. His father had had a premonition of his death.Priv VV was survived by his wife and 12 week old son Claude B. Jr whom he had
never seen. Other survivirs were his parents of South Byron and brother
Ellsworth of So Byron and three sisters, Mrs Walter Herrington of East
Bethany, Mrs Kenneth Zaliff of Morganville and Miss Marjorie VV of East
Bethany.
